Market will be open in
December!
Due to popular demand from both vendors and customers, the Columbia
Farmers Market will be extending its season deep into December on a
trial basis. After taking a week off for Thanksgiving, markets will be
held on Saturdays December 5th, 12th, and 19th, from 10am to at least
12pm. Market will NOT be open Saturday, November 28.
Products expected to
be available include lamb, pork, beef, eggs, winter & greenhouse
vegetables, honey, locally-made chocolate, baked goods, and more. If
weather conditions are not suitable for an outdoor market, an
announcement will be made on this website and on the Market’s voicemail
(573-823-6889).
What's New at the Columbia Farmers Market This Week? Week of: Nov 5 to Nov 14, 2009
Featured Product: It’s time to try that new warm soup or stew with the great freshens fall crops have to offer. TOMATOES are available. Sweet potatoes, spinach, lettuces, swiss chard, mustard greens are available too.
You can also find: honey, fresh trout, beef, organic beef, pork, organic pork, chicken, lamb including spicy lamb sausage and gyros, eggs, baked goods, wonderful jams, jellies, pickles & mustard.
Featured Entertainment: Nov. 14 Live performance by Ironweed. A long time supporter of the Market, always glad to have them perform.
Nov. 21 Keith Fletcher, the one man blues band will perform live.
Special Events: Nov. 21 The last day of market we welcome local artists to set up & display/sell their items. Please contact Caroline Todd, market manager, before Nov. 20. There is no stall fee to local artists.
