Market & Local Agriculture News

Customers
Throngs of customers
enjoy the Market

2009 has been another season of growth for the Columbia Farmers Market, in which we recorded a record customer count of 6,700 on one Saturday and saw consistent attendance and production despite difficult weather conditions. 2010 will mark the 30th anniversary of the Market.

Market will be open in December!
Due to popular demand from both vendors and customers, the Columbia Farmers Market will be extending its season deep into December on a trial basis. After taking a week off for Thanksgiving, markets will be held on Saturdays December 5th, 12th, and 19th, from 10am to at least 12pm.

Products expected to be available include lamb, pork, beef, eggs, winter & greenhouse vegetables, honey, locally-made chocolate, baked goods, and more. If weather conditions are not suitable for an outdoor market, an announcement will be made on this website and on the Market’s voicemail (573-823-6889).

Read the full press release here, and we hope to see you in December.
